This policy revision clarifies that SWI assessment of jurisdiction for Day Care Investigations (DCI), Residential Child Care Investigations (RCCI), and assignment of the caregiver as an alleged perpetrator (AP) is based on the caregiver’s responsibility for care of the child at the time of the incident, not the location of the incident.

SWI Assessment and Processing of Requests for an Interstate Compact on the Placement of Children (ICPC) (PATS 00309)
This policy revision clarifies the situations in which an Interstate Compact on the Placement of Children (ICPC) request is made, and how Statewide Intake assesses and processes ICPC requests, while emphasizing that the intake specialist is not responsible for determining if an ICPC request is necessary.
