Statewide Intake Assessment of Neglectful Supervision (PATS 14382/00100)
This policy revision clarifies the factors that an intake specialist considers when assessing for Neglectful Supervision (NSUP) as a result of exposure to family violence, including proximity to violence and severity or potential severity of harm.

SWI I&R Clarifications, UTC Procedures, Community Providers, and CPI Screening (PATS 14396/00078)
This policy revision:
- Updates interviewing, documenting, and searching instructions for certain types of I&Rs.
- Adds processing instructions for certain I&Rs that require callouts.
- Updates UTC and “red sunburst” procedures in CPI cases.
- Clarifies types of providers in PI Community cases.
- Corrects a typographical error in CPI screening procedures.

- 3172.1 Facilities and Services under the Jurisdiction of Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC): clarifies minimum capacity for jurisdiction in assisted living facilities.
- 4631.6 Information and Referral (I&R): clarifies situations in which to complete an I&R for a child death.
- 4760 Child Lives in an HCS Group Home or Receives Services in Another Setting: adds RCCI abbreviation for consistency.
- 6823 Unsuccessful IMPACT Search: adds jurisdiction row for adult foster care providers.

Assessing and Documenting Reports of Staff Sleeping While on Duty (PATS 14398/00085)
This handbook revision adds new policy about assessing and documenting an intake when Statewide Intake receives a report about staff sleeping while on duty supervising children at a residential child care facility.

International Calls (PATS 00112)
This handbook revision removed the sentence that said, “International calls involving an intake can be made from the phone in the office of the assistant commissioner for SWI." The new Statewide Intake phone system can make outgoing international calls.
